I have been providing paid babysitting and nanny services since May, gaining hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and supporting children with additional needs, including autistic and non-verbal children.
Alongside my paid childcare work, I have been around children my whole life, helping to care for younger cousins and completing six months of nursery work experience during high school. Over the past year, I have also regularly cared for friends’ and neighbours’ children of different ages, including babies.
I am passionate about creating a safe, caring and engaging environment where every child feels comfortable, supported and encouraged to learn, explore and have fun through play. I aim to make childcare enjoyable while also following each child’s individual routines, needs and interests.
I understand that every family is different, so I work closely with parents to make sure their preferences and routines are followed. I believe clear and open communication is important and I am happy to provide parents with updates throughout the day, including photos where permission has been given.
